Dear Friend:

     My spirit is on fire for praying large prayers for you!  Ever since William Freeman prayed a large prayer for healing for my afflicted mother, it has been my desire through praying large prayers to change lives -- your life can be changed by receiving large answers!  My mother's answer to prayer radically changed her life, changed my unsaved family, changed my life forever.  Because I've experienced the impact of large prayers very often, I've made my solemn promise: "Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you" 1 Samuel 12:23.

     I encourage you to pray large prayers.  Prepare to be amazed what all the Lord will do for you.  God says, "Open your mouth wide and I will fill it." (Psalm 81:10). Which means to "ask largely."  In other words, "don't limit the Holy One of Israel" (Psalm 78:41).  Prayers of any size are effective but the possibilities of large prayers open the way for God to do the exceeding abundant above all we ask or think.  (Ephesians 3:20).

     A recent visitor to my office said, "Don, tell me about the miracles.  I want to hear about the miracles in your ministry."  I told him about God's Hand of healing in impossible situations through my praying large prayers.  Here's some of those miracles:

Raised Up From Wheelchair And Made Whole

     Myrtle from Kelso, Washington, wrote me: "For the glory of God, I take my pen in hand and write my testimony.  I had osteoporosis of the bone for five years and rheumatoid arthritis for two years.  I was at the place where I could not see to read, nor could I hear clearly.  My jaws were sore and painful when I would eat.  I could not walk except on crutches, and was in a wheelchair.  You prayed for me and the Lord raised me up, and enabled me to walk again without crutches.  It is a pleasure to be able to eat again, and my hearing and sight are fine now, too.  I no longer use the wheelchair or crutches since Christ healed me.  I give our Lord the praise and thanks for these great miracles."

Cancer And Arthritis Healed

     William of Vernon, British Columbia, shared this in a letter to me:  "For more than five years I had suffered much with a bad cancer on my side.  Also, for about 30 years I have had arthritis.  When you came to Vernon for the crusade at the Royal Canadian Auditorium, I attended the services.  It was the first time I had ever been to meetings like these, where the sick were prayed for, and expected to be healed.  On a Tuesday night, you prayed for me to be healed of the cancer and arthritis.  The Lord has taken the cancer away from my body, and I suffer no more with the arthritis."

     Notice that Wililam said that "the sick ... expected to be healed."  William expected to be healed and some months later, his grandson sent us confirmation of the doctors' report that "all the cancer is completely gone from his body."

     It is inspiring to receive testimony of healing of the "C word ... cancer."  So many precious people are being destroyed by this foul disease.  We will continue to pray large prayers for healing of cancer among other things.  The Lord says, "Behold, I am the Lord; the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27.  Be fearless in large prayers for healing!

Diabetes -- Sleeplessness -- Rheumatism Healed By the Lord

     Mary of Longview, Washington, has made known the blessings of the Lord as I had the delight of praying large prayers for her:  "The Lord healed me in your meetings here.  For 11 years I suffered with sugar diabetes.  And I had rheumatism all through my body.  I hadn't known a good night's sleep for the past 11 years until you prayed for me that night here in Longview.  The Lord really healed me, and I have slept soundly ever since.  Also, He healed my diabetes and rheumatism, too, so I'm like a person with a new body.  How great it is, what the Lord has done for me.

     "Sometimes the old enemy tries to bring back some of the symptoms of my former condition.  But I always read your book, 'The Stripes That Heal,' then resist the devil in the Name of Jesus.  Through the Word of God, I find when I boldly say, 'Thank You, Jesus, by Your Stripes I am healed,' the pain leaves every time.

     "Awhile back I went down to Portland, Oregon, to visit some friends.  The man in the home has suffered terribly with cancer for a long time.  It has been a brain cancer.  At times he screams with the pain.  I got out your book, 'The Stripes That Heal,' and read it to him.  I told him what the Lord had done for me, He could do the same for him.  I urged him to act on this message in faith;that he could be totally healed.  He began to speak the Bible truths that 'By His Stripes, I am healed,' and the pain left him!  Since I came back home, I've called down there.  The man is still free of pain, praise the Lord."
