It was the darkest day in the history of the World ... and we call it GOOD FRIDAY. 

     God sent His only begotten Son into this world "to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." Luke 4:18.

     The Creator of the Universe had permitted Jesus Christ, the Darling of Heaven, to go to Earth to restore the precious fellowship He had always intended for His beloved creation -- Mankind -- by bridging the gulf created by sin and providing the means of salvation. 

     "This is how much God loved the world: He gave His Son, His one and only Son.  And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed" (John 3:17 The Message) ... and the world turned against the Son and attempted to destroy Him. 

     JESUS CHRIST -- whom "God anointed with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil" (Acts 10:38) -- was covertly arrested in the middle of the night on the vaguest of charges. 

     JESUS CHRIST -- His closest companions and friends, fleeing in fear and shock, deserted Him, foreswearing any relationship with the Son of Man. 

     JESUS CHRIST -- He was abused verbally and physically, His flesh torn viciously by the scourging of the "cat o' nine tails" which bit into His undefended body, ripping skin, flesh and muscle.  

     JESUS CHRIST -- Cruelly paraded through the streets of Jerusalem in a final act of ultimate degradation, His wounded, battered back dragging the heavy burden of a rugged cross to Golgotha, the place of the skull.

     JESUS CHRIST -- Stripped of His last shred of human dignity, His hands and feet were nailed with large spikes to the cross.  He was left to die by the most horrific means of execution ever devised by Man -- crucifixion.  

     It was the darkest day in the history of the World ... and the devil thought that the Light of the World was about to be extinguished.  

     JESUS CHRIST -- the perfect Lamb of God "who taketh away the sin of the world" John 1:29 -- is the only way we can receive salvation and forgiveness of sin.  Restoration of that rightful fellowship with God has always been the Father's intention for His children.  Jesus Christ willingly endured all the dreadful, ghastly circumstances on that Good Friday over 2,000 years ago because His whole purpose in coming to Earth was to die for our sins, once and for all.  

          "Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."  1 Peter 2:23-24. 

     Christ did more than establish the way to our salvation by His death ... He also established the means for our healing through His suffering: "By Whose stripes (all 39 times), we are healed!" Isaiah 53:5.  

      GREETINGS TO YOU, my precious Friends and Partners, who are of the Household of Faith: 

     For many years, we have met together for a Good Friday Service at Twelve Noon.  On Good Friday, we have specifically prayed at the Throne of Grace, interceding for the needs of those on our hearts, yours and mine. 

     We have seen the Lord Jesus Christ manifest Himself through signs and wonders, through miracles of healing and salvation experiences -- not only for those present at our service, but for those who have sent in their prayer requests. 

     NOW, THIS YEAR, WE WILL MEET FOR GOOD FRIDAY DAY OF PRAYER & MINISTRY ON APRIL 2ND, AT HIGH NOON AT THE HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS, 4405 Central Boulevard in Burnaby, B.C., Canada.  Prior to that day, we will STAND WITH YOU in prayer, asking our loving Heavenly Father by faith to meet the needs of your life and those of your loved ones. 

     This Good Friday Service will be a Day of Prayer & Ministry where we will: 

• Jesus Christ will again manifest His miraculous power to change lives from the inside out.
• The Holy Spirit will convict the hearts of the unsaved of their rejection of Jesus -- and then will grant the miracles of new birth as they repent and confess Jesus as Lord. 
• The compassionate hand of the Greater Physician will touch the physical bodies of the sick, restoring health to all their flesh. 
• The Prince of Peace will extend a great, supernatural healing of Broken hearts. 
• The Creator of the Universe will provide financial insight and direction -- bring guidance and direction to those lost and confused -- will show Himself present by His mighty power. 

     My friend, you can participate in this Good Friday Day of Prayer & Ministry in the following ways:

     As the glory of the Father raised Jesus from the dead, the darkest day of the world was over. 

     So, too, your darkest day can be over. 

     Expect Resurrection Morning to be a fresh new day in your relationship with Him because of His redemptive work in you through His Risen Son, Jesus Christ our Saviour.  The Light of the World conquered sin and death and will raise you into a new life as well.
