THERE'S NO ROOM FOR GLOOM
By Don Gossett

"This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it" Psalm 118:24.

FIRST: The Lord makes for us each new day. Whatever God makes is good, and good for us. "And God saw everything He had made, and behold it was very good" Genesis 1:31. Since the Lord made the day, it's a day for good-living, not ill-living.

SECOND: God made the day; He expects us to rejoice and be glad. "Serve the Lord with gladness" not sad-ness, commands Psalm 100. Say these words, "The Lord made this day for me. I shall be glad and rejoice!"

THIRD: With God for me, with me, and within me, there's absolutely no room for gloom! God isn't a gloomy God, and He doesn't want gloomy children!

FOURTH: The Bible commands us, "Give no place to the devil" Ephesians 4. When you give place for gloom in your life, you are giving place to the devil. He is the author of gloom.

FIFTH: Make it your glad declaration: in my life there's no room for Gloom! Hallelujah!

SIXTH: So many of God's children are in low spirits. They are depressed, mopish, disgusted with life. Alright here is the positive way to lift yourself out of the doldrums: Make no more room for gloom, by being glad and rejoicing in the Lord. . . always!

SEVENTH: Right now walk out of your slough of despondency. Put a sudden stop to sulking! Life has much to dampen the spirit. But you are living by God's Word! Do not sink to the level of the pessimistic crowd. Quit wearing that long face. Your Lord is alive! He is risen! Shout hallelujahs!

EIGHTH: Be a sparkling person with no room for pouting, fretting and a dreary existence. Praise the Lord often. Count your blessings at bedtime, and it will surprise you what all the Lord has done!

NINTH: Tune your ear with me now on a personal message from our God: "Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will help thee; yea, I will strengthen thee; yea, I will uphold thee with, the right hand of my righteousness" Isaiah 41:10. How can you be down when God is holding you up?

TENTH: No more room for joyless, dismal living . . . He is our God! Congratulations, conqueror! There's no more room for gloom!

PARTNERS IN SOUL-WINNING

Holmes Williams and Don Gossett

HOLMES WILLIAMS was the youngest executive officer in the history of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, in the West Indies. He was one of a family of bankers. Both of his brothers are yet leading officials with this bank.

The call of the Master to "forsake all and follow me," came clear to Holmes. He resigned his high-salaried banking position, with all its prestige and promises of advanced income and retirement benefits to accept the Lord's call to the full-time ministry.

God led him to build the great Evangel Temple at St. Michaels, Barbados. Through this church's outreach, more than 80,000 souls have been won to Christ. It is the most successful soul-winning church I've ever known.

Holmes Williams travels throughout the islands of the West Indies, leading tremendously successful soul-winning crusades. He also leads teams in literature distribution, saturating whole nations with the Good News.

Holmes' wife, Rosie, is a valuable team-mate in soul-winning. And their vision is having an impact upon their three sons, Peter, Paul and Holmes David. When the Williams' boys meet me at the airport, they usually beam with "A smile is my style!"

In 1967, Holmes invited me to launch a daily broadcast on Radio Barbados, where he already had a popular Sunday morning program. So we added six mornings per week, Monday through Saturday at 5:45 a.m.

Through my partners and friends, I provide the finances for five or six days per week, when I minister on the broadcast. Evangel Temple pays for the other programming each week.

You can be a partner with us in soul-winning, by your investment. $39.00 fully pays for a release over Radio Barbados. Very effective results come from each program.
