SOME THINGS I KNOW FOR SURE*

1. I know that God wants me to know. This clear assurance is the immediate reward of our faith! No one who believes in Christ as Lord and Saviour need be the victim of miserable doubt, fear and uncertainty. Boldly acknowledge this! "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith!" (Hebrews 10:22).
2. I know that people are tired of anything having doubts, speculations, negations and confusions. As believers we bring those around us brave confidence, refreshing assurance. Our positive position is humble yet bold, not because of anything in ourselves but because of what God says in His Word about us. With Jesus "we speak that we know" (John 3:11). We have unshakeable certainty! Jesus did it-‑on the Cross. God says it‑-in His Word. I believe it‑-in my heart. This is now real experience. Doubt your doubts, believe your beliefs . . . and come alive!
3. I know that I have eternal life! "These things are written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life" (1 John 5:13).
4. "I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day" (2 Timothy 1:12). I absolutely know He is keeping me . . . this is the Shepherd's work. "Kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation" (1 Peter 1:5).
5. I know the wonderful Christ ‑- this is far more real than just knowing about Him. I know Him as a real, divine Person Who is with me now! "And hereby we do know that we know Him." 1 John 2:3.
6. I know that the Holy Spirit is now directly impressing upon me that I am His, and He is mine. "And hereby we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit" 1 John 4:13. "The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God" Romans 8:16.
7. "I know that my redeemer liveth. " I know Thou canst do everything." Job 19:25; 42:2. Therefore, "I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me" Philippians 4:13. There's nothing like being sure! Now have yourself a real feast by reading the 1st epistle of John. The word "know" appears 28 times. Go find them! "For our Gospel came unto you . . . in power, in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance" 1 Thessolonians 1:5. These things we know for sure!
