Healing Virtue*

"And the whole multitude sought to touch Him: for there went virtue out of Him, and healed them all." Luke 6:19.
1. When a demand for healing was made upon Jesus, healing virtue flowed out of His body. A woman with a sickness for 12 long years sought to touch the hem of His garment. When she did, virtue went out of the body of Jesus, and the woman was healed. Read Mk. 5:25‑30.
2. The word "virtue" is translated from the Greek word "dynamin", meaning "the power of the Spirit". This power of the Spirit, or healing virtue, is invested in every believer. Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe . . . they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Mk. 16:18.
3. This healing virtue is a wonderful manifestation of the Christ‑life within the believer. "Not I, but Christ, liveth in me: and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God." Gal. 2:20. It is His life, His faith and His virtue.
4. To the one who ministers healing in Jesus' Name, prepare your heart by speaking these bold affirmations: "It is not I, but Christ liveth in me!' "When I lay my hands upon the sick, they shall recoverl" "When I minister to the sick in the Name of Jesus, healing virtue flows from me unto the sick one: this virtue of Jesus healed them all when He walked here; His virtue is the same today!"
5. Hallelujah! Christ's healing virtue is going out from His body in dynamic power today. We Christians are His body. "Now ye are the body of Christ" I Cor. 12:27.
6. As there was healing virtue in the garments of Jesus (Mk. 5), there are yet special means‑even handkerchiefs or cloths‑whereby healing virtue flows. (Read Ac. 19:11‑12).
7. Let the healing virtue of Christ flow through your life. The sick will be healed and God will be glorified! Amen.
